En now a Gin from the wider range of Filliers.
Filliers Dry Gin 28 is a handcrafted premium gin, infused and distilled with 28 botanicals carefully selected by the master distiller.
Filliers Dry Gin 28 is the first real Belgian Gin. 🙂
The secret to Filliers Dry Gin 28 can be found in its harmonious blend of 28 botanicals.
The exact proportions were recorded by Firmin Filliers in his authentic recipe, which has been passed down from father to son in the Filliers distilling dynasty ever since.
Some known botanicals are :
– Belgian Hops
– Angelica Root
– Fresh Oranges
Filliers made a conscious decision to implement a small-scale production process in modest-sized copper stills (alembics) of 500 to 1000 litres. This creates the optimal conditions for our Master Distiller (Pedro Saez del Burgo) to monitor and maintain the quality and flavour of each drop of gin.
Today i will discuss the Tangerine version of the Filliers Dry Gin 28. 🙂
For this gin, they use premium mandarin oranges from the Valencia region of Spain.
They are the fruit of an exclusive course of sunshine therapy enjoyed between November and January, carefully selected for their beauty, freshness and flavour.
They carefully distil this small batch gin five times in traditional copper pot stills.
In terms of aroma he is spicy and fruity at the same time, with the distinctive smell of mandarins!
But the base Gin is never far away…
In taste, he is very citrus-driven with a fruity and fresh character with a finish as we know from Filliers!
ABV : 43,7%
My personal Perfect Serve :
– 5cl Filliers Dry Gin 28 Tangerine
